Hannah recently accepted a summer internship at Catepillar Inc. in the Global Finance Services Division.
“I hope to learn more about how international suppliers, customers, and global events impact the manufacturing industry while being able to dive in deep into the global finances of a Fortune 500 company. This is my second semester as the Vice President of Professionalism for Delta Sigma Pi. I’m also is a part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, and the Honors Program.”

Laura Henao - Munich RE
Active Spotlight: Laura Henao
Laura recently accepted a summer internship at Munich Re in the Summer Leadership Development Program.
“During my internship, I hope to gain experience, develop projects based on current events, and expand my network in the company. I am very excited and honored to be selected as an intern for Summer Leadership Development Program because in the future I would like to continue my career at Munich Re participating in the Graduate Trainee Program. This semester I’m focusing on being an active member in Gamma Iota Sigma and learning about the insurance industry through the mentee/mentor program. In the past, I’ve held the positions of Historian in Delta Sigma Pi, Membership Chair in APLFA, and Vice President of Marketing in the Spanish Club.”

“Aside from this incredible opportunity, I have had the privilege of holding several positions within Delta Sigma Pi, including President, Senior Vice President, and Secretary. I am also the current Social Media Manager for the Vidette Newspaper & a Mentor for Business Week! Getting involved on campus was the main contributor in pushing myself towards higher goals and achievements, such as Caterpillar. I highly encourage everyone to join new organizations and build on your own personal growth!
During my time at Caterpillar this summer, I hope to gain a further understanding on the steps that must be taken in building a stronger brand, a successful company, and gaining a wealth of real-world practical experience. I am beyond excited to take on this opportunity in helping the Caterpillar team to build a better world!”

I hope to learn about PepsiCo’s company culture and see if this is a role I can do later in future. I want to learn as much as I can about their brands, as they have 20 other billion dollar brands. I hope to obtain a great learning experience while networking with my teammates and managers!”

Nicole has recently accepted an internship with SCOR — serving as their Business Solutions Intern this summer in New York City!
“Throughout the past two years, I have been fortunate enough to get a handful of experiences in the Insurance/Risk Management industry. Last summer, I completed a Project-Based Internship with CNA Financial and took on the role of Student Researcher for Verisk Analytics. This past school year, I was able to learn more about the insurance industry in an internship through the ICC and through the month long Selective Agency Management Competition. I have also gained some leadership experience while serving as the Vice President of Public Relations for Toastmasters, Head Sunday School Teacher at my Church, and I will be serving as the Vice President of Internal Affairs in Gamma Iota Sigma in the coming school year.
Through this upcoming summer, I hope to expand my knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly in underwriting, and to learn more from industry professionals!”

This includes Vice President of Community Service in the Fall 2019 semester, IBFC Chairman for the 2020-2021 school year, as well as the Pledge Ed Committee Chair position for the Fall 2021 semester within Delta Sigma Pi. I will also be Interning at University High School for the 2021-2022 school year as a student teacher!
